Q: How am I billed?
If you choose to be billed by credit card, your credit
card will be debited automatically.
Payment is due on the monthly anniversary of your
sign-up date.
Q: Why am I being charged for more than my base plan amount?
A. There are two reasons why you may have been
charged more than your base plan amount. The first reason is if you
have previously purchased additional storage space or additional computers
for your account. The second reason is if you have gone over the storage
space that your plan is allotted. To reduce your storage space, you
may want to delete files that you no longer need backed up or use the
revision wizard to delete old versions of files that you no longer need.
Q: How do I change my billing address or credit card information?
A. To change your method of payment or your credit
card information, please email us at
billing@didubackup.com.
To change your billing address, you may also login to your account at
Client Area.
Here, you will be able to edit your user information.
Q: What happens if I go over the amount of storage space that I
have purchased?
A. If the amount of data that you back up (after
compression) exceeds the amount of storage included in your plan (plus
any additional storage that you have signed up for), you will receive
a notification via email approximately 7 days before the end of your
billing cycle. You will be able to continue to backup and use the service
uninterrupted. This 7 day period gives you the opportunity to delete
files that no longer need backing up or to purchase additional storage
space. If you are still over the purchased amount at the time of your
next billing cycle, you will be billed for additional storage space
at the rate of $0.0099 per megabyte (the equivalent of $4.95 per 500
megabytes) if you have a Home User Plan or $0.00495 per megabyte (the
equivalent of $4.95 per 1 gigabyte) if you have Business Security Plan
I, II or III.
Q: What do I do if I have a billing question that is not answered
here?
A. Please email us at
billing@didubackup.com.
Q: How do I cancel my account?
A. We hope that you will never need to cancel your
DidUBackUp online backup service account. However, if you do need to cancel
your account, please send an email to billing@didubackup.com with your
username and the reason that you are canceling. Your account will be
cancelled at the end of your current monthly billing cycle. You will not receive a credit for
any unused days in the current billing month.
